Family Support Worker
We are recruiting a Family Support Worker for a 37 hour post.
Aim of Post
The successful candidate will work with the childcare and refuge team to provide support and information to women, children and young people.
- To be aware of the needs of women and children in the refuge and work as part of a team to ensure that these needs are met.
- To be aware of, and to promote, the principles underpinning children’s rights and parental responsibilities.
- To work as part of a team with direction to maintain play facilities and services for children and young people in refuge, resource centres and community settings.
- To work as part of a team to identify, assess and respond to the physical, psychological, emotional, social and educational needs of all the children and young people.
A recognised relevant qualification at a minimum of NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) or a minimum of 1 years recent experience in supporting children and young people or a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
The post is funded by SE Trust and funding is secure until 31 March 2015. The salary is placed NJC 2013 Point 16 (Scale 3) – £16,604 per annum.
