Donate money

Help us provide vital services to women and children in the North Down and Ards area.

Here’s how your money could help:

  1. £5 pays for an evening meal for a mother and her children forced to flee their home
  2. £10 buys new clothes and a toy for a child who has been forced to leave all their belongings behind
  3. £20 provides one-to-one support for a woman
  4. £30 provides access to temporary accommodation to keep a woman safe.

We are grateful for any donation, no matter how small. To discuss a possible donation please contact us.

Gift Aid

While we are very appreciative of anonymous donations, we would like to increase the value of donations by asking donors who have made their gift out of taxed income to complete a Gift Aid Declaration. This allows us to reclaim 28 pence for every £1 donated to us making your donations even more valuable.

If you donate to charity and you’re a UK taxpayer you may also be able to claim back tax.

Through a deduction from your pay

If your employer operates a Give As You Earn arrangement it should be possible to request that a regular amount is deducted from your pay each month which will then be credited to us.

Remember us in your will

This is one of the most valuable ways you can contribute to our vital work. Writing a will is an important decision to make. It can be one of the most important steps in taking care of your family’s welfare. It can also provide you with an opportunity to consider leaving a donation to support the work of your chosen charity and leave a lasting impact.

If you choose to leave a donation to North Down and Ards Women’s Aid, your gift can help change the lives of the many women and children we help each year in our work. Donations left in a will to charity are free from inheritance tax. Please contact a solicitor for advice. If you have already made a will, you can add to or change it at any time.
